Hold onto the old position of lithium batteries and embark on a new journey of sodium batteries

Under the dual carbon goal, a new round of industrial and technological transformation characterized by "green" and "low-carbon" is in full swing. As an important branch of new energy technology, Sodium-ion battery technology is a necessary support for national energy security strategy and new energy economy. 2023 is the first year of sodium electricity, and the sodium ion industry is undergoing rapid development from upstream raw materials, to battery production, and finally to terminal applications. As a research and development oriented manufacturing enterprise driven by both market and technology, Guanjia actively lays out the development and application of new energy and new technologies. Guanjia officially launched the Sodium-ion battery project in the second half of 2022. Combining upstream and downstream resources with cooperative R&D units, it has deeply cooperated with Sodium-ion battery materials and battery design and large-scale production, and has achieved certain results. The 32700 Sodium-ion battery developed and trial produced by Guanjia has a single capacity of more than 4500mAh, a 1C cycle life of 1000 weeks, and a -40 ℃ low-temperature discharge capacity ≥ 70% of Nameplate capacity. In the next step, Guanjia will continue to strengthen joint research and development with its partners. From positive pole, negative pole, electrolyte, battery design and large-scale production process, it will continue to iterate around Sodium-ion battery products with high energy density, low cost, and long life. It plans to launch new Sodium-ion battery products with energy density of 160Wh/kg, 1C cycle life of 2000 weeks, and Unit cost of less than 0.4 yuan/Wh in the first half of 2024 to meet various market demands for power and energy storage.
On June 28, 2023, Guanjia New Energy and Hunan Meite New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (Meite) officially signed a strategic cooperation. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation around the development and application of Sodium-ion battery materials. Meite, as an established 20-year old manufacturer of lithium-ion battery positive electrode materials, has strong research and manufacturing capabilities in battery positive electrode materials. In the field of Sodium-ion battery, Meite New Materials and Central South University have established the first sodium electricity research institute in Hunan. At present, they have independently developed two types of mass production layered oxide cathode materials. Guanjia and Meite will make full use of their own advantages, adhere to the cooperation purpose of resource sharing and mutual benefit, work together in the field of Sodium-ion battery, take market demand as the guide, continue to develop new Sodium-ion battery products, and promote the matching and integration of Sodium-ion battery industry chain.
